  1. Take a sauce pan & heat water along with sugar, let it boil till the syrup achieves two string consistency. Once the sugar syrup turns a little thick, put off the stove & keep aside.
  2. Take another pan, boil milk, saffrin and sugar in medium flame untill the milk is reduced to about 1/4th of it's original quantity.
  3. Stir continuously, once the milk is reduced, add elaichi/ cardamom powder & mix well.
  4. Continue to heat it by stirring continuously for 5 more minutes, once it's done remove from heat and set aside.
  5. Take bread slices & cut them into half(triangle shape or rectangular shape)
  6. Shallow fry the bread slices in oil till it becomes crispy. Once it's done, soak the slices in sugar syrup for about a minute.
  7. Arrange the soaked slices on the serving dish. Pour the rabri over the bread slices & garnish with chopped nuts & cherries. Serve hot.
